The session has been active, however, much of the discussion seems to be around redistricting, taxation, and school finance. That said, this week the Kansas Department on Aging budget hearings began in the House Social Services Budget Committee and the Governor's Executive Reorganization Order 41 received a hearing in the Senate Ways and Means Committee. K4A testified in response to KDOA's budget on Wednesday, February 15 and K4A attended the hearing on the ERO, however, we did not testify. Regarding bills, K4A is testifying tomorrow in opposition of SB314. SB314 eliminates the fishing and hunting license exemption for Kansans age 65+.
