Senior Summit 2010 Overview
The Senior Summit is a one day conference hosted by the Kansas Department on Aging and the Kansas Area Agencies on Aging. The focus of the summit is to provide education on the long term care system in Kansas and how it needs to grow, expand and change to continue to provide services in the future. Long term care is typically thought of as nursing home care. This is no longer true in today’s world and will change even more in the future. Long term care services may also be community based services. As the baby boomers and their children become the customers, concepts and services will need to adapt to provide the services they want. There will be an opening session featuring Kansas Legislators, concurrent sessions and a nationally known closing keynote speaker.
